Builder Backup

Updated: Oct 31, 2019

On the 29th of October, we received notification from a builder working on a site near KFC in Hampton. That he had seen a ginger and white cat, that seemed to be injured. He had lost sight of the cat, however, we asked for him to let us know if he saw the cat again.

This morning we got a message from Gareth to say he had caught the cat and he was injured. Jules and the RSPCA headed straight over to help.

Whist Jules was on the way to help, we checked his picture against our missing cat records. We found he was a match to Eddie who was on our file missing from July 19 in Yaxley. We contacted his owner Colleen to keep her in the loop and to check Eddie's chip was still up to date.

The RSPCA whisked Eddie straight to the vets to be seen. Thankfully Eddie was chipped and the details were up to date, so the vets were able to call Colleen.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to let you know Eddie has passed to Rainbow Bridge.

Unfortunately, his injuries were too severe and the kindest and bravest thing was to let him gain his wings.

A massive thank you goes to Gareth, his colleagues, Jules, Rspca Peterborough Branch and Peterborough and Bretton Vets4Pets who made it possible that Colleen and her family got to say goodbye.

We are thinking of you all Colleen

Run free baby boy, too beautiful for earth xx
